15.903  Managing the Modern Organization: Organizational Economics and Corporate Strategy (H1)

It has come to my attention that the doors to the 5th floor are locked at 6 pm, so you will not be able to turn in hard copies after that point.  This means the de facto deadline is 6 pm, not midnight.

Dear all,

Your final papers are due either this Friday (10/26, by 6 pm) for bonus points, or the following Friday (11/2, by 6 pm) as a final deadline.  As a slight change from the syllabus, we ask that you turn in *two* printed copies of the final, as well as emailing a copy to Professor Gibbons and myself.  The printed copies can be turned in to Professor Gibbons' administrative assistant, Rose Ziv Carpenter.  Her desk is on the 5th floor of E62, directly in front of office 525.  She will have two boxes set out on the bookshelf behind her desk, so you can place one copy in each box.   I look forward to reading about your companies!

Your grades have been entered into the stellar gradebook, and the first two executive summaries are in your folders (one per team).  A note about grading: executive summaries are out of 10 points, 8 for the team write-up and 2 for individual participation.  I also entered a mid-term participation grade (this is 2/5 of your final participation grade), so you can see how you are doing.

If you haven't received an email from me with your case assignments, this means I do not have your team.  If this is in error, please let me know, otherwise I will assume you are not taking the class for credit.  If your team is doing the first case write-up (BMGI), the summary is due by 5 pm on Monday.  Finally, team composition, company choice, and general subject of the final paper are due before class on Tuesday.  See the syllabus for more information on the executive summaries and final paper.

Many of you have not submitted teams or case preferences for the executive summaries.  These were due before class today, so please submit your teams and preferences ASAP.   If you do not yet have a team, or you are a pair looking for a third, email me and I will help match you.  Finally, please make sure you have the latest syllabus.  The first ES case will be discussed next Tuesday (9/25), *not* this Thursday (9/20) as previous versions of the syllabus stated.
