Information:
This is the first course in a two-semester series. Undergraduate and graduate courses meet together, but students taking 16.413 complete additional assignments.
Syllabus
Survey of reasoning, optimization and decision making
methodologies for creating highly autonomous systems and decision
support aids. Focus on principles, algorithms, and their
application, taken from the disciplines of artificial intelligence
and operations research. Reasoning paradigms include logic and
deduction, heuristic and constraint-based search, model-based
reasoning, planning and execution, and machine learning.
Optimization paradigms include linear programming, integer
programming, and dynamic programming. Decision-making paradigms
include decision theoretic planning, and Markov decision
processes.

Final exam solutions posted!
Hello everybody,Just wanted to let you know that the final exam solutions have just been posted on Stellar. All letter grades for 16.410/413 were submitted to the Office of the Registrar on Friday, so they should be available to you shortly. Also, I was told that students cannot keep their final exams, but you can definitely stop by and look at your exam if you wish to do so.
It was my utmost pleasure to have you all in 16.410/413! I really hope you've enjoyed the course as much as Prof. Williams and I did.

Grade histograms for the final exam posted!
Hello everybody,The grade histograms for the final exam have just been posted on Stellar. Starting tomorrow morning, you can pick your exam at the MERS lab area either with me or with Derek. My intention is to have your complete scores posted, including psets and final projects, sometime tomorrow.

Please bring a calculator to the final on Thursday! (No phones allowed!)
It doesn't have to be anything fancy, the four basic arithmetic operations will suffice. You CANNOT use your phone as your calculator! This might seem harsh, but we're just trying to be fair and make sure that the only material people have access to during the final is their cheat sheets (not the Internet or all the lecture notes on Stellar).Thank you very much for coming to our last office hours of the semester today. Eric and I were glad to see the quality of your questions and we're confident that you will all do fine on the final exam. You were a great class and it was our utmost pleasure to have you all join us for the AI adventure of 16.410/413.
