Thanks for a Great Semester - Feedback Now on Stellar for Final Papers

I hope everyone who has departed campus has enjoyed easy travels. To those still to embark, happy and safe travels to wherever December and January bring you. On behalf of Professor Hafrey and myself, I first wanted to thank you all for the contributions to class discussions, labs, and assignments this semester!

Secondly, please note that feedback from Professor Hafrey and myself has been uploaded to the Stellar Homework section for the final papers. This can be found under the "Comments" tab. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Final Paper Topics Posted to Stellar

Thank you for all the timely submissions of Team Paper #3 yesterday!

The Final Paper Topics (Individual Paper #2) have now uploaded to Stellar. These topics can be found in the HW section of Stellar. As a reminder, your submissions for this paper are due in two-weeks (12/14) and should be uploaded to Stellar before 5 PM.

Study Questions for Coming Week Posted to Stellar

Hello Sloanie Storytellers -

Hope all are enjoying restful Thanksgiving weekends!

Please note that the Study Questions for the coming week have been posted to Stellar. As a quick reminder on what's in store this week, we have a Story Lab on Monday and will discuss Robert Bolts's A Man for All Seasons on Wednesday.
Please also remember to submit your Third Team Paper on Stellar by 7 PM on Tuesday, November 29.

Viewing Masayuki Suo's "Shall We Dance?"

Hello all -

As you know, the assigned film for Monday's class is Masayuki Suo's "Shall We Dance?"

We understand that accessing this movie online has proved difficult (I do not believe there are digital copies currently available on Apple, Amazon or Comcast). As such, in addition to the class viewing that occurred last Thursday (11/17), here are three alternate paths to viewing the film before class:

1.) I will host a viewing at Sloan at 7:30 PM on Sunday, Nov. 20 - if you would like to come, please email me directly so I can plan accordingly

2.) I have a second copy that I can lend to students between now and Monday - again, please email me if you are interested and we can set up time to meet and exchange the film

3.) There is a copy of the DVD available at MIT Libraries. You can find it by searching in their catalog

Event of Interest @ HBS on "Citizen Data in a New Era"

Thanks to David Bassani for passing along the details of an event occurring today from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM. This may be of interest to the class given our discussion yesterday.

The event description is:

"HBS Tech Club Event

Harlo Holmes, an Ash Center Fellow for Technology and Democracy, will be on campus to lead a discussion on ways in which the new Republican administration may approach questions of data access and privacy. We’ll discuss the role of corporations as arbiters of customer/citizen data. No sign-up required."
