15.570 - Optional Recitation 2 (12/02/2016)

Hi,

This Friday we will be holding one optional recitation session in E51-345 from 3-4pm. We will focus on more of the programming specifics for running linear and logistic regression, propensity score matching, and regression with Instrumental Variables (IV). We plan to record the session for students who can not attend.

Additionally, if there were topics covered in the first recitation that you still need help with, Ron and I will hold open office hours from 2:30-3pm in the E62 cafe.

15.570 - Optional Recitation (11/18/2016)

Hi,

Tomorrow we will be holding two optional recitation sessions from 1-2pm.

The session on R will be held in E51-372. Before the recitation we strongly recommend that you install R and RStudio if you haven't already.
For Windows R is available at: https://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/base/
For Mac, use this link: https://cran.r-project.org/bin/macosx/
For RStudio, a free user interface for R which adds many useful features, use this link: https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/

The session on Stata will be held in E51-061. If you are interested in learning Stata instead of R, please let us know via e-mail as soon as possible as there may be difficulty recording the Stata session.

If you are unable to attend the sessions, we will post materials on Stellar (recording, PPT, and sample codes).

Please make sure to check your e-mail tomorrow, as there may be last minute room changes to ensure optimal A/V set-up.
