Comments on briefings on Wednesday

Hi all,

From the communications standpoint, I liked the informal briefings I saw today. This kind of briefing is probably the more common kind of oral presentation in your professional lives. It's also how you build oral presentation skills. Good start!

A few pointers and comments:
- in this room, you've got to speak up. We've got ventilation noise, road noise, and a room full of people. Take a deep breath and talk to folks in the back row.
- put slide numbers on slides so audience can say 'go back to #4' or something like that.
- try not to block screen. This room is flat and wide so you'll lose some of your audience if you block screen.
- like the way most of you talked through the slides but did not read them verbatim. Good! Reading slides to the audience is not a good idea.
- some of the font on a couple of slides was too small to read from the audience. Again, listeners hate not being able to read a slide they're being shown.
- during formal review, remember to introduce yourselves in some way.

Please review some of the material on the Stellar site. But I think you're off to a good start for CoDR!
