Information:
Combines rigorous engineering theory and user-centered product
design to create technologies for developing and emerging markets.
Topics covered will include: machine design theory to
parametrically analyze technologies; bottom-up/top-down design
processes; user-centered product design; engaging stakeholders in
the design process; understanding socioeconomic factors that affect
adoption of products; and developing/emerging market dynamics and
their effect on business and technology. Class material will be
complemented by guest speakers who are subject matter experts in
relevant fields and case studies on successful and failed
technologies. Student teams will apply course material to term-long
projects to create new technologies, developed in collaboration
with industrial partners and other stakeholders in
developing/emerging markets.

End of semester wrap up details
Hi,Please fill out your peer reviews by midnight tonight. You will find a link to the google form in your lab section's materials folder.
Just a reminder. To make everything easier I have created a spreadsheet that shows everything that needs to get done before the semester ends. We will not release grades until your team finishes all of the assigned tasks.

Note that almost all of the tasks is uploading items you have already completed. You will also notice that the last item is to give sketches and artifacts to the museum space. This is very imprtiant and every team needs to do this.

Final Presentation Time and Location
Hi Folks,Even though you are signing up for times for your teams to present, it is important that you come for the entire final presentation session and support your classmates/give them feedback. If you have a major conflict, please tell me.
Also, we had to switch the room where we will hold the presentations to 10-250. We will have dinner there at 6:30 and start the presentations at 7:30 as planned.
