Information:
This course teaches students structured principles and processes
to develop concepts for large and complex systems. Term projects
introduce students to large-scale system development with several
areas of emphasis, including idea generation, concept development
and refinement, system-level thinking, briefing development and
presentation, and proposal generation. Interactive lectures and
presentations will guide students throughout the course to develop
and deliver individual and team presentations focused on solving
large and complex problems. Potential example problems to

In-class project review this week
Dear all,Before the MS4 presentation on Nov. 22 (Tuesday next week), I would like to have two team do in-class practice presentation tomorrow and two on Thursday. No need to be formal, but I expect groups talk about the current status of their project. We will provide our feedback to help you move forward.
I suggest two teams (Autonomy and Smart Grid) talk tomorrow, two other teams (Underwater Defense and Rescue) talk on Thursday in the class.

MS4 Logistics on Nov. 22
We will have MS4 presentations on November 22 from 12:00 to 2:30 PM. It will be at 5-314 (the conference room we used for MS2), and lunch bags will be provided. There will be a 15 min talk by the team followed by 15 min discussion and feedback. The sequence will be Team D, C, B, A this time.What do we expect to hear?
- Very specific proposal of your idea on how to solve the
problem.
- Feasibility of the idea in terms of available DPs, cost and lead
time
- Expected impact and marketability
