Hi All, just a quick note about the writeup, summarizing lat Tuesday's discussion.

Please send me what you have today. (later this evening is fine) It should include roughly the figures that you intend on using, and a brief description of what's going on in each.

I'll give you some feedback, and let you know if there's anything missing that should really be addressed before presentations next Thursday. You'll only be graded on the material in Thursday's presentation, but this is a great opportunity to suggestions on how best to structure and present your analysis.

Next Thursday, please send me your slides at some point before class. I'll decide on that day who will present, but everyone needs to have the final presentation slides done before that time.

As always, send me an email if you're having any difficulty, and we can set up a time to troubleshoot.

Take a look at Pset 4

Hi All, be sure to take a look at PSet 4 in advance of Tuesday's class. I'll plan to save a few minutes at the end of class to go through it same as last week.

It should be very straightforward. I've shortened the code and added quite a bit of explanation into the skeleton file.

I've also changed the due date to 11:59 on Thurs rather than before class, so that if you have last minute questions on Thurs, I can walk you through the remaining steps.

help with pset3

A few of you have asked for help or an extension to pset3.

We will take the beginning of class to walk through running the code together, and I'll extend the deadline until Thursday to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to complete the assignment.

Be sure to bring your laptop and questions on the assignment to class.

Hi All, thanks to those of you who noticed the missing data files on Stellar. Please check again, and make sure you download the files in the archive "datafiles.tgz"

pset3 code update

Some of you have had trouble viewing the plots made by the example code on your laptops. A new version of the skeleton code has been updated that outputs these plots to .png files that you can view in Preview or similar viewer.

Let me know if any other issues arise!
