We have posted a series of 3 example writeups to the Bessel function problem from HW0. One example is a good solution. The other two are BAD solutions, either too short without enough description or too long with excess information which wastes the student's and grader's time. Please read the commented document to get an idea of what we are looking for in homework solutions.

We hope everyone enjoyed their first day of class!

This year, each problem on the homework will be graded out of a maximum of 10 points with a scheme as follows:

• 0: no attempt/no significant effort
• 5: some of the problem completed/significant flaws
• 7: entire problem completed, but some significant errors
• 9: entire problem completed, only minor errors
• 10: perfect solution

Also, this is a reminder that there will not be any office hours this week. We will make another announcement once rooms have been assigned for next week.
