Recitation&office hour next M/T

Dear class,
Since next Monday (Nov 12) is a holiday, We will not have lecture or recitation. But I'll still be there at 4-261 from 7pm-9pm for office hour :)

Tuesday (Nov 13) recitation and office hour will be as usual. And the recitation will be held for pset Q&A.

Lecture notes corrections

Dear class,

We found 3 typos in lecture notes and here are corrections:

1.Lecture notes 14, page 9 and 14: inconsistence
Some enzymes can differentiate the two prochiral H on a NADH. But it is shown on page 9 that the back H on NADH does the redox chemistry, but on page 14 it is the front H. Here is an inconsistence, and we're going to figure out which H it is later. Here now is just for you to know about the stereochem of NAD(P)H.

2. Lecture notes 14, page 22,
the example shown here is C4a 2electron chemistry. Also note that FAD can do 1e chemistry.

3. Lecture 15, page 6,
the overall charge of 4Fe4S cluster cannot be -3,-2, -1. More details are discussed in pset6.
