Report 3 Hard Copy Submission

Hi Class

Following on from my email earlier today, I will accept hard copies of report 3 up to 5pm on Saturday as some groups are experiencing genuine difficulty in submitting hard copies Friday. It is expected that both the main report and the individual reports will be submitted on Saturday (all previous exemptions to this are therefore revoked).

The reports can be dropped off to my office.

In summary, electronic copies are still due by 17:00hrs on the 29th, hard copies are due by 17:00hrs on Saturday the 30th.

Report 3 Submission & Report 2 Addendum

Hi Class

Report 3 is due tomorrow (Friday 28th) at 5pm. Because this report is due on a Friday, the hard copy will be due also tomorrow by 6pm (one hour after the electronic copy deadline). If this poses a problem for any groups, please contact me to discuss.

Your optional addendum to project 2 is due by this evening at 5pm - hard copies only. They can be submitted to me in my office or left on my desk in my absence.

Report Submission & Information Requests

Hi Class

I have created a section on stellar where you can submit electronic copies of your report. The electronic copies for report 1 are due before 17:00hrs on April 7th and one electronic copy per group should be uploaded by the project manager. Reports uploaded after 17:00hrs will be automatically marked as late by the system. Hard copies of the report should be submitted to me before 17:00hrs on Friday the 8th, again one copy from the project manager.

In relation to information requests, I will only be dealing with the respective project managers in relation to possible meetings outside of the scheduled office hours and answering email queries. If project managers wish to meet in person outside of office hours an appointment must be made. Anyone turning up without an appointment will be turned away. Of course all are welcome to attend and ask questions at the normal office hours and recitations.

Office Hours & Project 1

Hi Class

Office hours will be held on Fridays from 13:00 - 14:00 in room 5-330A. I will be holding the first session tomorrow (April 1st) for anyone who has any questions.

Note I have uploaded new utility drawings for Vassar Street to stellar this evening along with additional survey maps of the west campus to cover the Simmons Hall area.

I have also uploaded recitation 2 slides and a text document for next Tuesday which may prove useful in relation to your first project.

1.036 Geotechnical Office Hours

Dear Class

Please follow the link below and decide your preferred office hours for the Geotechnical element of 1.036. As Dr. Jen has already said in class an early week time will suit best because all the projects are due on Wednesday, Thurday, or Fridays. Choose as many time slots as you can by this Friday.
