Quiz 1

Dear Justice Students,

This note is to confirm that the question for Quiz 1 (selected in class today) is Question 4:

"If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person than he, if had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind" ( On Liberty , ch. 2). What is Mill’s argument for this claim?

Your one-page (single-sided and double-spaced) response is due in recitation on Friday. On Friday in recitation, you will also be assigned to a group for the in-class Writing Workshop to be held on Monday.

Wishing you a good rest of the week,

LS
