Course description: The overarching objective of the course is to instill interest, excitement, and understanding of the field of Chemical Engineering. To achieve this goal, diverse applications of Chemical Engineering are explored through a series of example problems. Their solution requires application of fundamental concepts of mass and energy conservation to both batch and continuous systems. In addition, the solution to these problems relies on the computer-aided implementation of numerical methods, several of which are also covered in this course.
