Making up reading quiz

We had a reading quiz in class on Tuesday, Dec. 2. If you were not in class, please contact Blair Read (bmread@mit.edu) to make up the quiz as soon as possible. I'd like everyone to make it up before the start of class on Thursday, so I can hand back the quizzes on Thursday.

For those who already took the quiz, most of you did very well. Great job!

Streaming Movie Instructions

I know many of you are planning to stream El Norte at home, over the Thanksgiving holiday. This is a great idea, and in fact, I encourage you to watch the movie with friends and family.

I talked to Laura at the film office in person today, and she assured me that the online Plex server is working better. She is also going to monitor its performance over the long weekend. I just checked the website, and it seems to be working.

As a reminder, here are the instructions to stream our movies:

1. In your internet browser, navigate to plex.tv . Do not use Firefox. You can use Google Chrome or Safari.

2. Sign in with the credentials listed below:
Username: 17.55J
Password: introlas

3. After logging in, click the orange “Launch” button at the top right of the
page.

4. Click our course number on the left of the page.

5. Now you should see all our films. You can select the one you'd like to watch.

This should work. If you encounter problems, please let me know and
I will pass the information along to the Film Office. And remember
-- do not use Firefox!

Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!
