As I said during the discussion on Tuesday, I'll show up for class tomorrow for more discussion, but your attendance is strictly optional.  I don't actually expect anyone to show up, so I will not stay around too long if I'm the only one in the room!  Also, several reminders:
Please remember to fill in a course evaluation at http://web.mit.edu/subjectevaluation.  So far the response rate is 8 out of 40.
Please fill out a course survey if you have not already--there are extra blank forms on the door to Prof Einstein's office as well as blank forms in both pdf and Word format on the course web site.
We seem to have missed one set of team evaluations today.  We ask everyone to fill out a team evaluation for their Bridge Project and their Major Project.  We are missing one each from Bridge Team D and Coastal Structures 1.  I left blank forms in the bin on Prof Einstein's office door for those to be completed.

Hi: I inadvertently created some confusion about due dates.  Due dates are as announced previously:

Major Project Final Reports are due Wednesday, May 11 at 5 pm. Please turn in a hard copy at Prof. Einstein's office and electronic copy via email or Stellar.
Bridge: An informal photocopy of the relevant pages of your design notebook (both structural and hydraulic calculations) before Thursday, May 12, 11 am.  Hard copy at Prof. Einstein's office, electronic copy as above.

With these due dates there is no need to use Thursday for major project meetings.  We will not hold class on Thursday. 

The course schedule shows portfolio reviews on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  We have changed that so that all protfolios are now scheduled for Wednesday.  On Tuesday, we will provide a survey form to solicit your feedback on the course.  As I said in class on Thursday, we make changes to the course every year, generally based on student feedback, so your feedback is valued and worthwhile!  On Tuesday, I will also circulate the portfolio review sign-up sheet so that those who were not in class last Thursday can sign up for a time slot.  Tuesday and Thursday are otherwise available for major project teams to meet.  If you are unable to attend Tuesday, the feedback survey is posted on the course web site--please complete and return it before class on Tuesday.  I created an "assignment" on Stellar to accept survey submissions.  On Wednesday, the portfolio reviews will be in the regular classroom.  Please try to get there a few minutes before your scheduled review so we can keep on schedule.  We will also request your evaluation of team performance on the major project and bridge project, so plan on a few minutes after the portfolio review to complete two short forms.  You are not required to be present on Wednesday other than your ten-minute time slot and the few minutes after.  The portfolio review schedule is posted on the Stellar site if you need to check your time (or request a time slot).
