To compare the strength of E and B fields, it is easiest to use theCGS system since they have same units. If you want to use MKS, you
should compare E/c with B, where c is the speed of light ~3*10^8
m/s.

Dear Students,We will be having three laboratory experiments during the semester for 8.022. These are important part of the learning. They will also constitute 3% of your final grade. Please save the following dates and times for these experiments:
Monday, March 10th, 7:00 to 9:00 PM in 32-082
Monday, April 7th, 7:00 to 9:00 PM in 32-082
Wednesday, May 7th, 7:00 to 9:00 PM in 32-082
