Poster Printing details
There are several (updated!) options for printing your
posters. Read them now so you know what to expect.
1) You can print your poster in the CEE office in 1-372. Contact Nick (nkontop@mit.edu) with poster files and/or questions. You can email him the files (powerpoint, image (jpeg) or pdf) or post them online and send him the link. IMPORTANT: he would like them a week in advance, but will make do with 3 days. If you plan to go this route you should email him in advance so he will know when to expect your printing job. He has the account number for the class.
2) You can print your poster at copy tech or Kinko's. You can call them for details, including how much lead time they need and what paper sizes are available. Printing a poster through 3rd parties is likely to be in the ~$100 range and unfortunately the class cannot reimburse you :(
3) You can break up your large poster file into 8x11 tiles and print it on normal-sized paper. There are instructions online how to do this, for example: http://pptfaq.com/FAQ00538.htm I'd recommend taking 15 minutes to test one of them out before you go to the trouble of laying out your poster in powerpoint or whatnot.
4) You can do it the old fashioned way! I know you all miss playing with rubber cement!
While it *IS* important to display information clearly and legibly, your poster will not be graded on how pretty it is.
