Hi All,We have some short (15 minute) graduate student presentations coming up.
On 4th May:
Mira Frick - Paulo Natenzon's job market paper "Random Choice and Learning", which seeks to provide a new explanation for both the Attraction Effect and Tversky's Similarity Hypothesis
Morgan Grossman-McKee - subjectively-ambiguous events in Savage-style models of choice under uncertainty
On May 11th:
Nell Putnam-Farr - paper idea (breaking down a larger goal into smaller pieces); or exercise and habit formation (tbd)
Anton Tsoy - Eliaz, Spiegler, TE 2008 Consumer optimism and price discrimination

14.137 papers and presentations
Hi All,To follow up on Drazen's comments in class today, please send me an email by midnight Sunday 24th April letting me know if you are taking the course for credit and whether you are an undergraduate. If you are a graduate student please also email me the topic for your short presentation and whether you would like to present with another student.
The deadlines for the papers are 13th May (if you want a grade for this semester), or 15th September (perhaps more relevant for graduate students).

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ON CLASS LOCATION
Tomorrow at 4PM please go to room 3015, building 46 (Brain and Cognitive Sciences), to hear Roy Baumeister.The title is: "New Directions and Surprises in Self-Regulation Research."
This replaces our regular sesssion. We have already covered some of Baumeister's work in the session on self-control (3/30).
