The exam 2 answer key has been posted under "exams" and the answer key for homework 4 is also up.

We will have a short recitation this Friday at 1pm (room 26-210) where I'll go over Prof Sinskey's monday lecture and we can discuss any questions regarding the exam.

Hi all,

Homework 4 has been put onto Stellar and is due with your exam at 1pm on Wednesday November 2nd.  Please complete it, since it is designed as a study guide to help you prepare for your exam.

The exam is open book and open note, however no computers/cell phones are permitted.  I recommend that you print out Prof Sinskey's lecture notes for lecture 7, since one exam question will be based on this lecture - his assigned readings may be useful to bring to class as well.  Nothing from Monday's lecture will be on Wednesday's exam, but it may be on the next one so you should definitely come to class!

The exam will be during class, 11-1 on Wednesday November 2nd.  The questions will test your knowledge of what was discussed during lecture and how you can apply those concepts to similar problems.  It will be entirely composed of short-answer questions.
Please bring any questions to recitation this Friday, or to homework club on saturday (2-4pm, room 56-169). Good luck with studying!

Dear class,

Homework 3 has been posted on Stellar. Please turn it in at class or online before lecture starts a week from now on Wednesday November 26th.

Professor Sinskey mentioned during class today that anyone who wishes to get extra credit may schedule a meeting with him to work out an assignment worth 25% of the test (5% of the final grade). This will be a substantial written assignment that is approximately equal in labor to a very well-researched exam question.  The other extra credit option is to sign up for another News of the Week presentation which will be worth 1.5% of the final grade.  Please let me know if you'd like to reserve a day for this option!  It will give your professors and fellow students a break during the long lecture :)

Exams will be handed out at recitation this Friday and I'll bring them to subsequent lectures.  Grades will also go online Friday afternoon.
