Structural Design

I have uploaded the material I covered in class on inelastic behavior of beams. The exception is "Approximate Methods" for which I have no lecture notes.

Schedule changes

Hi Class,

Due to the storm closing of MIT, we have re-arranged the schedule. Please note the following changes:

1) Homework 8 is now due Friday November 2 at the beginning of recitation
2) The quiz is moved to Tuesday November 6, in class.
3) Monday November 5 will be an in-class review session.
4) I will hold additional homework office hours this week on Thursday from 4:30 - 5:30 in the same room, if available. Wednesday office hours are still on.
5) Per Brendan's earlier email, the lab reports are now due Thursday in class. Brendan will hold office hours Tuesday after the lab and during the second half of the Wednesday homework office hour.

Final Exam

Lec 2 notes corrected

Hi Class
It looks like Lecture notes 2 were incorrect on Stellar. They have now been corrected. If you printed Lec 2 notes that say "Stresses and Strains" please obtain the correct file, now posted, "Ductile & brittle failure, yielding".

Wed Office Hours, 4:30 - 5:30 in 1-273

Office hours for the homeworks will be held Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:30 in room 1-273 (same room as the lectures).
