Change of venue for presentations today

All,

The NW12 conference room isn't available today so presentations will be in the conference area of the lab opposite my office - NW13 256. I will leave my office open for the 2:00 PM group to gather.

22.09/90 Final Presentation Scheduling

All,

I have set up a Doodle poll to schedule your final presentations during our regularly scheduled times on Monday and Wednesday next week. The link to the poll is:

The schedule is in 30 minute blocks, but remember that you should aim for about a 15 minute presentation to allow for setup and questions. Presentations will be made in the NW12 conference room. Please be in the adjacent classroom a few minutes before your scheduled time.

communication lectures + other info

Hi Everyone,

I have uploaded Communication Lecture 2 (on common writing issues) and 3 (on oral presentations) to Stellar under Materials/Communication Lectures + Assignments.

In our discussion during lecture on Monday, we briefly touched on an alternative way of structuring slides around the "assertion/evidence" model. I am familiar with this through Michael Alley's work -- writing.engr.psu.edu/slides.html -- who has occasionally come to MIT during IAP to speak.

Also, regarding my grades on the Beta Lab revision, for the 14 reports I graded, the mean was 91.28 and the SD was 7.66.
