Lecture notes 7, 8 posted
Lecture notes 7 and 8 have been posted. Notes 7 cover the
standard model and spontaneous symmetry breaking, Goldstone bosons,
the Higgs mechanism and the one-loop effective action. Notes 8
cover anomalies: chiral anomalies, anomaly freedom of the standard
model, and chiral symmetry breaking in QCD. These notes cover all
lectures through December 10.

Problem set 4 has been posted. It is due December
12. Several people have asked for extensions, so to be fair
to everyone, you can pass it in by Monday, December 17
without penalty.
