Lecture on Monday Dec 2
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Biomolecular condensates are becoming a trendy topic in cell
biology; so, even though many of the details still need to be
worked out, there are interesting insights, issues and questions
that are currently under active study and will be so over the next
few years. So, we will have an overview lecture next Monday
and a paper discussion on Wednesday. The review posted for
pre-lecture reading for Monday covers a lot of ground - read it for
the main principles, methods, questions etc. - you may not have
heard of some of the organelles they discuss - focus on the ones
you find most interesting - no need to digest all the details of
each one - we'll do that on Wednesday. We are still
discussing which papers to discuss then so do not spend your
holiday reading all of the ones currently posted - we'll
finalize that list as soon as possible and send you another
email.

Lecture and Discussions on Cell Adhesion
Please have a look at the assigned pre-class readings on the
Stellar web site before class on Wednesday. The brief review
"CellAdhesion: Old and New Questions" places the field in
context and I recommend that you will find that helpful to gain the
most from the lecture on Wednesday and the two papers we will
discuss next week.
I will post the lecture notes for tomorrow by the end of
today. Richard
