typo in solution to sample exam
Hi class. There're two mistakes in the
solution.
1.) When equating V_u and V_s + V_c, there is no need for a factor of 12 on the left-hand side of the equation.
2.) When calculating torsional moment due to distributed force, I multiply b_max/2 twice, which is wrong.

Exam 1 average and standard deviation
Hi Class. The average of exam 1 is 66 and the standard
deviation is 8.8. If you
have any question on grading or the exam questions, please stop by my office
as soon as possible.
Another note. According to class schedule, we will have exam 2 on Monday,
November 30th. Since it's on the Monday right after Thanksgiving, we won't
have a chance to have a proper review session like last time. However, I plan
to have an extended office hour on Sunday to answer your last-minute question.
I'll keep you posted.
