Water Rocket Activities Sign-ups

Each team will need to sign-up for the following three water rocket project activities:

1. The first round of wind tunnel testing in the Hangar will start next Wednesday (Oct. 4th) and run until Monday night. Please have your team sign-up for a 30 minute time slot. The instructions for calibrating the wind tunnel and measuring drag will be sent out early next week.
2. The first check-ins will begin on Wednesday, October 11th. As a team, decide on a time when everyone is able to attend the check-in and sign-up (all team members must attend this!) for a 20 minute slot. Please have just one person fill out the sign-up sheet.
3. Second round of check-ins will occur on October 18-20. Each team will need to sign-up for a time slot and all members must attend.

pset 3 correction

On S3.2 (iv), the region of convergence should be 'Re{s} > 1' rather than 'Re{s} > 0'. The pdf has been updated accordingly.

Pset 3 questions 1&2 Clarification

When doing the Laplace transforms and inverse Laplace transforms in questions 1 & 2, feel free to use both the 'Laplace transform rules' and the 'Laplace transforms of Elementary functions' tables provided in class. If you decide to do so, please cite which row in which table you are using!

Additionally, there was a slight modification made to the pset pdf on Sunday morning, so if you downloaded it before then please download the updated version now.

Extra office hours tomorrow morning

I will be available tomorrow (Thurs) in my office (37-447) 8.30-9am in case you want to stop by to ask additional questions about the pset.

In recitation, by request I will cover examples related to the definitions of the unit step and unit impulse, and to some of the concepts underlying the third pset question (relationship between continuous-time and discrete-time signals). If there is time, we can cover additional topics on request.

Pset 1

A reminder that pset 1 has been posted on Stellar. Note that for 16.002 there is both an S&S pset (3 questions) and a Unified pset (1 question). Make sure you complete all 4 questions.
