Wednesday Assignment

Dear Students,

Thank you for a fantastic half-semester.

A few housekeeping points:

For the in-class assignment tomorrow you should bring to the regular classroom a laptop (with charge) and all your notes. You should expect an exercise much like the Mexican Restaurant assignment. You should do no preparation. Song will distribute the assignments on paper and then you should email him your answers at the end of the session (or before).

Song has put all previous assignments (group and individual case write-ups), which you did not pickup, in a box on the fifth floor of E62 (right in front of the elevators).

Presentation and a Survey Link

Dear class,

Reminder:
1) Send your presentation to me before 9am. You should structure your talk in 8 minutes and leave 4 minutes for Q&A.
2) Print out your technical appendix (2 copies) to give to Professor Tucker and myself in class.
3) You only have to come to class this week for the hour that you are presenting.

Next Week: Pricing Projects

Dear Students,

A reminder about next week.

Next Week we are doing our pricing presentations. Your commitment next week is to come to E62-687 for the hour when you are doing your pricing presentation. This is the corner suite on the sixth floor of E62.

You should approach this as though it was a meeting where you are trying to persuade your client (the CMO or CEO) to adopt your pricing policy. You can put technical details in a 2-page document or technical appendix for me.

You should email your powerpoint slides to Song in the morning prior to your presentation so he can load them up on a laptop. If you are using Keynote email these presentations as a PDF.

As a reminder, the team whose presentation I like best will present in class the next Monday and receive an automatic A for the class.

I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say,

Survey Links in for Tomorrow and Group Presentation schedule

Dear Students,

This is a reminder that your survey links are due by 9am tomorrow (Wednesday) to songlin@mit.edu. Do not be late!

Also, the ideal pricing project presentation hour-long session will have 4 teams in it. This ensures you get your rightful audience. At the moment we have a lot of "orphan teams" who are the only team presenting in their hour. This will be a lonely and slightly flat experience for you. Can you take another look http://bit.ly/xJ77Sz and if you are an Orphan team, try and rearrange the timing so that you are presenting alongside another at least one team (even better 2 or 3!).
