Political science courses Fall '12

Dear class,

Thank you all for a wonderful semester. Professor Campbell and I look forward to reading your policy proposal papers. I will send an email next week about picking up scored essays for those interested in seeing how they did.

If you found the fourth paper topic interesting you might consider taking a course on public policy in the fall or branching out into other political science topics. There is also a year long internship program that prepares students to take part in internships in Washington DC in the summer.

If you have any questions about political science courses, the major/minor or the DC program, please don't hesitate to email professor Campbell or me, or email the undergraduate administrator Tobie Weiner.

I hope you all have a great summer, and congratulations to those walking in June.

Sincerely,

Nathan

Links to paper three websites

Dear class,

We have all your papers in and would like to share your classmates' group assignments for paper three. We will look at the wikis as a group in recitation over the next couple of weeks as we look at health care reform and the fiscal state of social policy in the United States.

Please take a moment to look over the pages below, particularly from the same locality as the one you worked on.

Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act summaries

Dear class,

Here are some links to summaries of the issues at stake in the ACA cases before the Supreme Court. Please take a look at at least the first link. It is well-written and gives you an idea of the core components of the legislation.
