We use the book Introduction to Representation Theory (Amer.Math.Soc.) by P.Etingof et al. We also use the book "Linear representations of finite groups" by J.P.Serre (Springer Verlag). There will be about 11 problem sets, assigned (almost) every Monday and due the following Monday. In early December you are supposed to submit a final project on a topic not covered in class. The final grade will be based on problem sets (75/100), final project(25/100). Homework 1, due Sep.12
