Open Course Ware references

Hello Class,

The open course ware websites that I had mentioned in class on Thursday are:

1.224J:

1.225 J:

You can find some previous exams, assignments, etc. that can help you practice for the exam, to increase your confidence. However, as Prof. Barnhart said, the most important thing for the exam is to be familiar with the material taught in this course.

1.224J and 1.225J were the two half-courses which 1.200 replaced this year. However, there is some material in 1.200 not covered in 1.224 or 1.225, and some that is present in these courses that is not covered in 1.200. So please do not get worried if some of the material seems completely new and different!

Office hours and Assignment 5

Dear All:

1. I shall have office hours on Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:30 PM this week.

2. In Problem 6 of Assignment 5, please forget about the "correction term" in computing waiting times at the intersection. Just use the sum of the two terms from Models A and B (see your class notes or Webster's paper).

Typo in Assignment 5

In Problem 7, lambda_g should be equal to 16 per hour (not 20 per hour as currently given).
