Dear students,

if you got points removed in question 6 for not using the tangents, please resubmit your quizz 2 (no need to write a note) in Prof. Sachs' office by Friday. You will most likely receive additional points.

Book buy back

If you would like to sell us your book or books, please come to my office any afternoon this week between 2-4PM (Rm 35-134. My Assistant, Laura Zaganjori will be there during those times.

If you picked up a copy of the "request for payment" form in lecture today, pleaes fill out the highlighted areas and bring that with you. (You can get one in my office when you bring your books). Please bring receipts if you have them.

Monday's Presentations

Guidelines for Yo-Yo Presentations:

1) Duration - 6 minutes total + 2-3 minutes for questions. At 4 minutes we will give you a 2 minute warning

2) Content. Touch on
a. Your design, its rationale and manufacturing implications
b. Your process optimization and Process capability, and SPC work
c. Any other considerations of Rate, Quality, Flexibiity and Cost that you consider important to your particular design.

3) In addition to the 3 topics above, your presentatio will be graded on the basis of the quality of the presentation itself.

4) Presenters. You may have the entire group present (one slide per person, for example), or you may designate a smaller number of your group to present.

5) Logistics. Email your Powerpoint presentation to davedow@MIT.EDU by 10:00 AM Monday.

Exam 2

The second exam in 2.008 will be hed on Wed 12/6 11-12:30 in Rm 35-225. It will cover the material since the first exam (not cummullative of the whole semester). If will be closed book no notes. There will be 5 or 6 queestions - the same style as the first exam.
