Completed problem sets should be turned in the 8.333 problem set box in front on the undergrad physics lounge (third floor of Building 8). The problem sets will count for 50% of the final grade. Late problem sets will generally not be accepted. In addition there will be a mid-semester exam and a final exam which will each count for 25% of the final grade.

Practice problems and other information
Prof. Kardar has an excellent set of practice problems in the archived version of this course from previous years. For the topics covered in the second half of this course you may find it instructive to look at the Final Exams posted at http://ocw.mit.edu/NR/rdonlyres/Physics/8-333Fall-2007/487D81A4-A39E-47CB-9CBE-186B65E3AF3E/0/finalrev.pdf
Please note that the final exam (just like the Mid-Term) will be open notes but not open book, i.e you may bring your notes from this course or the homework but not other material.
