10.50 homework, now due Mon 11/30/09


Dear students,

Problems 25-27 (on convection-diffusion), originally due on Wednesay 11/25/09, may be turned in on Monday 11/30/09 at lecture, if you would like to keep working during the Thanksgiving Break. The next and final problem set (on electrolytes) will be posted later this week and will be due on Friday 12/4/09.

p.s. The boundary layer thickness on the sphere from today's lecture has a very simple dependence on angle, obtained by evaluating the integral in (10.2-30) of the book.

Revised HW Problem 6

There is a minor change in the 10.50 homework assignment that was posted originally on Friday 9/18. Problem 6 has been revised to clarify the assumptions, and its parts (a) and (b) have been rearranged. The new version was posted this evening (9/20).
