Additional TA Office Hours Dec 4 10:00 AM - noon

Since Quiz 2 will be on Monday, December 7, I will be having additional office hours on Friday, December 4 from 10:00 AM - noon in room 1-150. I will also have my usual office hours on Tuesday December 1 and December 8 (room 56-191).

Updated Homework 5

Dear Class,

Homework 5 has been updated, primarily to make problem 1 clearer. We also noted that it was not necessary to solve problem 5.11 from the book to use it for problem 2, and corrected the pictures in problem 3 to show the -1 and 1 (instead of having blanks).

Clarification for Problem 1 on Homework 5

To help prevent confusion, in problem 1 of homework 5, the sentence "Travel speed is the speed of light; these cars move really fast," means that travel speed is high, so that we can approximate the service time as the on-scene time only.
