Draft of book on the US Financial System
Some of you expressed interest in my draft book in the US
financial system. It is attached at the end of
Materials.
Chapter 2 is longer run background on US financial history; and Chapter 3 reviews related experiences in emerging markets; Chapters 4 through 6 are developments in the US since roughly 1980; Chapter 7 is about the crisis and how it was handled; and Chapter 8 is about attempted reform and the likely future.
All comments would be most welcome. Please do not share in electronic form or hard copy with anyone outside of the Sloan Fellows progream, unless you ask me first.
It was a great pleasure working with you all this semester.
Thanks very much.
Simon
