Final exam announcement
Thank you all for a productive and rewarding semester. Below are the rules for the final exam:(1) please bring at most three 8.5"x11" pages
of notes, double-sided, hand-written or printed and annotated, as
densely written and with as many formulae and self-reminders as you
can fit in for use during the exam;
(2) you are not allowed to use books, notebooks, newspapers and any
other printed or electronic aids;
(3) no use of computers, calculators, personal digital assistants,
cell phones, or other electronic devices is allowed during the
exam, just as in an airplane during take-off and landing; the only
permitted use of electrons is inside your brain, but that's
electro-chemical so it's not covered by the ban;
(4) because of the ban on calculators, we will make sure any
numerical or geometrical calculations can be carried out without
excessive effort; our goal is to bring forth your knowledge of
system modeling and feedback control, not your arithmetic
skills;
(5) the final is comprehensive of all the material that we covered
during the semester;
(6) if you have questions, technical or administrative, please post
them in the Stellar forum; thus, everyone can benefit from the
answers; we will remain vigilant to post answers throughout the
weekend until about midnight on Sunday;
(7) we will not respond to individual emails at anytime or to forum
questions posted after midnight on Sunday; we need to get some
sleep and so should you.
We wish you the best performance possible in this and all other
final exams you may be signed up for, and happy holidays.
