End of Term
Dear Class:We have finished all the grading of the final exam and turned in the grade sheets for 8.05. The final was a challenging one, and the class average was 65/100. Your exam grades are available on the course web page. The test and the solutions will be posted by Monday.
It was a pleasure to teach you 8.05. We hope you enjoyed it. Professor Ketterle and I wish you an enjoyable and restful break.
All the best, Barton Zwiebach.

Edited formula sheet posted
Dear Class:I have posted again the formula sheet. I added a couple of
equations to the
"Algebra of angular momentum..." and one equation to the
"Addition of angular momentum..." part. The formula sheet
will be included with the test.
Tables of Clebsch-Gordan coefficients will also be available with the test.
See you tomorrow!
Barton Zwiebach.

Formula sheet posted
Dear Class:At the bottom of the materials section of the web-site you can find a draft of the formula sheet that will be included in the final exam. I may still do some edits on this list. Let me know of any typos or errors.
The exam will emphasize the second part of the course, that part covered in homeworks 7,8,9, and 10. Please study accordingly. Note that on the posted exams there are some questions on identical particles. We did not get to cover that material and you will not be asked about it.
Barton Zwiebach.

Office hours and graded homework
Dear Class:Even though classes are over today, Professor Ketterle will hold his usual office hour tomorrow Friday (no office hour for Andrea Allais). In order to assist you in case you have further questions, Prof. Ketterle will be available in his office on Monday, from 10:30 to 11:30 am., and I will be available in my office from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.
Homework 10 will be graded by monday, noon. You can pick up your p-set from Joanna Keseberg, in 26-237.
Our final exam is on Tuesday at 1:30 pm in duPont. More on that in later messages.

Postings
Dear Class:In the materials portion of the web-page (under Exam Preparation) I have posted:
1) The 2007 final exam and its solutions.
2) The 2008 final exam and its solutions.
3) Practice problems (2009) for addition of angular momentum.
At this point you should probably focus on the practice problems.
