Thursday's Class, Assignments, Volunteers, and Evaluations. Oh, my!
Hello esteemed scholars,A few reminders/notes for you:
1. Thursday's Class. Reminder that we will be starting early on THURSDAY, our final class. We will meet at 9:00am in our usual classroom. Feel free to bring as much coffee as needed.
2. Assignment 2 submissions. There is a link on Stellar for you to upload your assignments. Also bring a printed copy with you to class (just in case!!).
3. We're still looking for just a few more volunteers to present their findings on Thursday. Earn my and the classes' admiration for work you've done anyway. And earn a gold star* (and participation points). Email me if you're interested.
4. Course evaluations. You've gotten tons of emails from up and down the MIT ladder. This is a reminder from the lowest rung. There's a link in the left-hand navigation bar on our Stellar site for your reference.
Thank you, everyone and good luck with your last week of classes this term!!
Much love,
tony

Assignment 2 & Student Presentations
Hi Class...How sad, this is one of my last emails to you! I wanted to remind you that Assignment 2 is due on December 9 before 9:30am to the link on Stellar.
Secondly, as Dennis noted in class, we're again looking for volunteers to present their findings in a brief 10 minute presentation (that can be culled from your paper). You all saw how easy and awesome the presentations were last time and we're looking for a few recruits who wouldn't mind presenting. Remember, as last time, participation counts toward your final grade and this is worth at least a gold star.
If you're interested, please email me!
Hooray and congrats on a great term.
Regards,
tony

Hi All,The slides from yesterday's lecture on the Secure City have been posted with the readings.
Additionally -- Alice Shay passed along the following info on the work of Nils Norman, who creates projects about defensive street furniture and has a particular fascination with the aesthetics of bollards. It's pretty interesting stuff ... you might want to take a look!
