The final exam, and a request
Claudio has finished grading the final exam, and I am very happy and proud to report that despite its length and apparent difficulty, all of you have done very well. The average score is above 79 with a standard deviation of slightly more than 12, the median is 82.5, and the maximal score was 95.5. Your letter grades should soon be available via WebSIS. Most importantly, after this final exam, I believe you should all be rather well prepared to pass your qualifying exams on mathematical programming, if your program includes one.
I also want to ask for your help. Claudio has told me that some of you have taken electronic notes. I'd be most grateful if you would share them with me, as this would help me to prepare my own set of electronic notes that I could one day make available to future students.
Finally, I want to thank you for a most enjoyable semester. And best wishes for the New Year!
