You can turn in your PS5 in class on next Tuesday
Dear students,Today in class, Prof.Yildiz offers a free extension option for your PS5: If you find it hard, you can turn in later by next Tuesday. We hope this can allow you to study the relevant materials more carefully.

Time to start on PS5 and Hongkai's office hour
Dear students,We hope you all had a great holiday. Since problem set 5 was posted before the holiday, we want to remind about it: this very last problem set might be longer and more difficult than the previous ones, so please start earlier! You should already have enough knowledge to solve Q1,2,3 and 5 if you have been keeping up with the lectures.
In order to help both of you who started quite early and quite late, Hongkai will hold office hours in the coming week on Monday 1-2 and Thursday 1-2. If you cannot make it but still want to discuss on those two days, you can send me an email, I am generally available on mornings too.
The best way to do problem set 5 is to understand and replicate the methods in Lecture note 15, both the main text and the Exercises with solutions. We have also uploaded a recitation note about a past final question covered on Nov 22 in the "Past Exams" section, which is similar to problem set questions.
Finally, while the final week is still more than two weeks away, we have uploaded the past final exams, and you can probably gain inspirations about PS5 from there too.
Happy solving games, and may you understand odds well.
Best,
Your TAs

Midterm 2 pickup
Dear students,
Please review your grade for Midterm 2 in the gradebook, and for those of you not in class yesterday, you can pick up your Midterm 2 from the dropbox in E18-266.
You should also be able to see your up-to-date grade, which is the weighted average of psets and exams so far. The class average now is around 76. Prof. Yildiz mentioned in yesterday's class that if the distribution of the total grades after final was similar to the the distribution of the grades up to now, those with more than 71.5 (some 65% percentile in class) points would probably get an A. But we don't know what the distribution after the final exam would be, so this is just an approximation to give you an idea about how much time to spend at least in the rest of the class to get the grade you want.
Best,
Hongkai
