Subject Description:
Introduction to chemistry, with emphasis on basic principles of atomic and molecular electronic structure, thermodynamics, acid-base and redox equilibria, chemical kinetics, and catalysis. Introduction to the chemistry of biological, inorganic, and organic molecules.

Viewing your final exam
Hi everyone,If you are interested in looking through your graded 5.111 final exam, you will have the opportunity to do so in the chemistry education office (6-205) during IAP. For your reference, the exam average was 216/300 with a top score of 288/300. The exams will be available to view for 1 month, from January 6th through February 7th.

Hi everyone,Just a reminder to set your alarm and a backup alarm for tomorrow's 9 am exam at the Johnson Track! We have had cases in the past in which a TA has shown up at a student's dorm to wake up a recitation member sleeping through the exam, but it is much better for everyone if you can wake up on your own! The best thing that you can do to get ready at this point is to get a good night sleep.

Viewing 5.111 assignment scores on Stellar
Hi everyone,I’ve enabled the “student view” option for the Stellar Gradebook to allow you to check that your scores are all entered correctly. The grades will be up from tonight through Friday at 10 am. Please email your TA by Friday at 10 am if you see any discrepancies. Please email your TA and cc our clicker TA, Allena (amgoren@mit.edu), if you see a problem with your attendance points .
As a reminder, there are no official recitations tomorrow, but your TAs will be holding office hours during their normal recitation times, all in room 4-265.
