Reminder about the final exam tomorrow

Dear students,

This is just a short reminder about the final exam. It will be held tomorrow from 9 am to noon in the 3rd floor of the Walker building. To provide enough time to pass out exam booklets and go over the exam instructions, please arrive to the testing room by 8:50 am.

You're nearing the finish line for this course (and the first semester in grad school), so hang in there! See you all tomorrow morning.

Best,

Joel and Liza

Final exam review sheet posted and end-of-term evaluations

Dear students,

The final exam review sheet and topic summary (discussed during today's final review session) are uploaded to Stellar under the recitation section.

We wanted to remind everyone that end-of-term subject evaluations are due Monday 12/15 at 9 AM. We highly encourage students to complete these to help us continually improve the course/curriculum each year. Let us know what you think enhanced your learning experience as well as what you think would improve your understanding of the material. Your comments really do matter, so we really appreciate any feedback you can give us. Thanks in advance!

Lastly, we wanted to say that we very much enjoyed being your TAs for your first semester of graduate school at MIT. We appreciate all your hard work throughout the course and hope that you learned new things related to numerical simulation/computation that can help you in your future research and/or career.

Good luck on your finals! We hope everyone has an awesome winter break!

Recitation Notes posted

Dear Students,

The lecture notes from this past Tuesday's office hour are now posted on Stellar. We recommend going through this notes for those who want examples problems and more understanding for the Metropolis Monte Carlo or Kinetic Monte Carlo Methods as the posted notes describe them in more detail than HW11 solutions.

HW 11 solutions posted

Dear students,

HW11 solutions (and code) have been posted to Stellar. Later tonight we plan to post the notes on HW11 that were presented during office hours yesterday. All your homework and quiz grades should be posted on the Stellar gradebook at this point. Please let us know if you notice any inconsistency.
