Empirical facts

Hi all,

Thanks for coming to the review session. I meant to say this just now but somehow I forgot: I think it is important for you to review the empirical facts we've covered in this class, particularly those from the beginning of the class.

Best,
Ernest

solution to ps3 posted

Hi all,

I've posted the solution to your problem set 3. I will finish grading and leave them in your folders some time tomorrow (I'll send out an email when I'm done).

For those of you who do not have an MIT folder, you can pick it up from my MIT folder on the second floor of E18 next to the ping-pong table.

Best,
Ernest

Review notes posted

Hi all,

I've just posted some review notes onto Stellar. I try to go over major models you've seen with the course, with more focus on intuitive derivations. The major models I've skipped are OLG and neoclassical endogenous growth models. I intend to fill in the OLG part if I have time tomorrow before the review session; I will not attempt to fill in the neoclassical endogenous growth part because I think the algebra and derivations are largely similar to the other models.

The models are all in section 2. In section 1, I try to fill in some technically handy results, some of which I skipped during past recitations.

This review note has incorporated most of the questions and requests I've gotten via emails. I will mostly follow this review notes in tomorrow's review session.

Best,
Ernest
