Information: 

This course is an introduction to linear optimization and its extensions emphasizing the underlying mathematical structures, geometrical ideas, algorithms and solutions of practical problems. The topics covered include: formulations, the geometry of linear optimization, duality theory, the simplex
method, sensitivity analysis, robust optimization, large scale optimization, interior point methods, network flows, discrete optimization formulations and algorithms.

Final Exam Announcement

Dear class,

Final exam will be held on Wednesday 12/17, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm in duPont Gym. Please note the location of the building (http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=W31), and allocate enough time to make it in time. All this info can be checked at http://web.mit.edu/registrar/classrooms/exams/finals/2015FA_finals_by_subject.html.

Final exam will be a closed book exam, but you will be allowed to bring 3 sheets of paper (letter size, single or double-sided, handwritten or typeset) with formulas, that you yourself have prepared. No laptops/phone/internet access will be permitted during the exam. If desired, you can bring a (standard) calculator, but it shouldn't be necessary (or useful).

The exam will cover ALL MATERIAL presented during the course, either during lectures, recitations, or homework sets.
