Since lots of students asked me about the stats of the final exam, I think it may be good to post them here:

Problems in the past exams

Dear all,

Some students told me that the modeling problems (linear graph stuffs) in the past exams are different with what we have been doing in class, psets and quizzes. Yes, they are, but it is useful to understand how to convert a practical scenario to a physical system model when you actually solve modeling problems in life.

For the modeling problems in psets and quizzes, if you did some of them the wrong before, make sure you understand how to solve them now.

Also, for pset 9 problem 1-3, it may be helpful to think about what the difference between them are. This will help you to understand how to choose/design controllers based on different design specifications.

Something about the final exam

Dear all,

Before the review session on Tuesday, please prepare the questions you want to ask. It will be very helpful if you get everything in the psets, quiz 1, and quiz 2 clearly understood before the final.

Although pset 10 is optional, it will be good to work on it yourself before you look at the solution. Also, for problems you did wrong in quiz 1 and quiz 2, make sure you UNDERSTAND how to solve them now.
