Final Exam and Course Evaluation

Hi all,

Here is the info you would need to know for the remaining two weeks of the course:

1. There are no recitations on Friday. Today is the last day of recitations.

2. There will be a review session on Monday (12/14) where TAs will do a review of the concepts covered in the course. The review session will be from 7pm - 9pm in 34-101.

3. The final exam will take place on Thursday, December 17 9:00 AM - 12:00 (NOON) on Johnson Track. If you require special accommodations, you should have received an email from me already.

4. You are allowed 3, 8'' by 12'' front and back crib sheets for the final. You may not use any other materials beside the 3 crib sheets.

5. The scope of the final is all material covered this semester in lectures, recitations, and readings. However, there will be an emphasis on materials that were not tested in Quiz 1 or Quiz 2 (i.e. latter parts of the class).

6. I will be emailing out our current records of your grades and which psets/quiz were excused. If you find a discrepancy in your grade, please email your TA or 6.006-staff@mit.edu.

7. Finally, please fill out the course evaluations! http://web.mit.edu/subjectevaluation The evaluations are open until Monday at 9 am. We really appreciate your feedback towards making the course better. If you have any comments about the course, please fill out the eval.

Good luck with your end of semester rush! It's almost done!

Class Performance

Hi all,

We've been receiving a lot of requests regarding class performance. If you have any questions regarding your performance in the class, please email or talk to your TA. We will not tell you your exact standing in the class, but we will tell you approximately where you are compared to other students in the class such as whether you are performing among the best 30% of the students in the class...etc.

The reason we do not publish your exact standings is that your final grade may vary a lot from what we tell you right now. There are still the remaining psets and the final that are yet to be determined among other factors. So the information provided by your TA is only meant as a guide and is not meant as an accurate prediction of your final grade.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
