end of term movie & evaluation

Hello Class--

Today we decided on the "Students' Choice" film for the weekend:
Airplane!  (1980).

The idea was to do a comedy.  I guess I Shot Andy Warhol wasn't funny enough.

So next Monday we'll talk about that film, suspense and comedy.
No weekly writing next week.

Next Wednesday in our last class you will get your papers back, give me some feedback
about the course, and do your online teaching evaluation.

not another announcement?!

Dear Suspensers,

I just had to send you this--because the MFA is doing a centennial celebration of
Jean-Pierre Melville!  (So I know we're busy, it's never a good time to drop eveything and go
to a bunch of movies.  But life is short!)  --AF

syllabus, etc.

Dear Film Suspense class,

I have corrected my email on the syllabus.  (thanks, Gray.)

Also, here is a a timeline for cross-dressing laws in the US.  If anyone finds one for France, let me know.
(Of course, France currently bans facial coverings in public, including the burqa.)

Have a nice break!  I look forward to reading your papers.
