Welcome to 6.341
Welcome to the Fall 2017 6.341: Discrete-Time Signal Processing Course. 6.341 is a graduate-level course covering fundamentals of digital signal processing. Topics to be covered include• Representation, design of discrete-time signals and
systems
• Decimation, interpolation and sampling rate conversion
• Filter structures, polyphase decompositions
• IIR and FIR filter design
• Parametric modeling, linear prediction
• Discrete Fourier Transform and FFT algorithms
• Spectral analysis, filter banks
• Perfect reconstruction filter banks, discrete wavelet
transform
• Application to communications, geolocation, radar, sonar, audio,
speech, medical, and other fields.
Each student will be provided with a wideband digital radio frequency receiver – the RTL-SDR USB system – for use in problem sets and signal processing projects.
We will be using the MITx platform throughout the semester for everything except posting grades. (See Gradebook Module option on the left.) All course handouts, exercises, and problem sets will be posted at the following location.
