Dear 14.33ers,

Your revised papers have been graded and are available to be picked up with Denise MacDougall, Prof. Finkelstein's assistant. Her desk is right outside of Prof. Finkelstein's office on the 3rd floor of E-52 and you can pick them up from the pile on her desk even if she isn't there. The grades on your presentation and your final course grade are there as well.

Dear class,

Several of you have emailed me about the page limit for the revision, so I thought I would send a clarifying email to the entire class. The page limit for the revision is THE SAME as for the original paper. If I have requested that you add additional information to your paper, and this will push you over the page limit, you will need to tighten and condense other parts of the paper.

Just a reminder that your revision of your main project is due this Wed (May 16) by 4:30pm in the box outside of Peter's office. Along with your revised paper you must hand in your original paper and the comments I gave you on the original.

Dear class,

At the end of class tomorrow (Wed) you will have an opportunity to fill out course evaluations. If you were not in class last week when course evaluations were done, please be sure to be in class tomorrow so that you have an opportunity to fill out an evaluation. Tomorrow is the last time they will be done.

Dear class,

Grades and detailed comments on your 14.33 papers will be available for pickup after noon tomorrow (Monday) from my assistant Denise MacDougal in E52-352. She is available weekdays from 10am - 6pm to give you your paper.

The papers all have detailed comments on them. As stressed in class and on the syllabus, the rewrite grade will be determined by how well and completely you implement these comnents. This is a distinct assignment from the writing of the initial draft and is an important requirement of the course; you should not think that if you are satisfied with your initial grade that you do not need to implement these comments. If you are uncertain how to address some of hte comments in your revision, I strongly urge you to come talk with me and/or your Ta.

For students who would like to discuss the rewrite with me, I will have office hours this Wednesday and next Wednesday (May 2nd and 9th) from 3pm - 4pm. For students who have a class conflict with this time, I will also be available from 8am to 9am on these two days. If you plan on coming to see me between 8am and 9am please email me by 5pm on the preceding Tuesday to let me know.

Please remember that the rewrite will be due Thursday May 16th by 4:30pm in the box outside of Peter's office.

Finally, do not forget that oral presentations begin this Monday, and that attendence at three of these is a requirement of the class.
