Revised lecture note 24

Dear students,

Please note that I posted a slightly revised set of slides for today's class. The content is the same but I duplicated a few slides and re-ordered them to make it flow better.

See you in class,

in-class assignment

This is a reminder that you have an in-class assignment on the last day of class, next Wednesday 05/16.  This assignment is worth 16% of your final grade.  It should take the last 30-45 minutes of class to complete.
The assignment will be a closed-book, closed-note overview of ratio analysis.  P lease note that ALL RATIOS could be included (even then ones learned before the first exam), so make sure you know how to calculate them, as well as understand what the calculation tells you about the firm (i.e., is this ratio a solvency or a profitability ratio?  would you want this ratio to be high or low?  how might these ratios be affected by an increase in COGS/an increase in total liabilities/etc.?)
