Course Information
15.535 builds on the tools you learned in your first accounting class by teaching you how to use financial information to Analyze and Value firms. The course provides up-to-date applied knowledge of fundamental valuation techniques, the pitfalls of accounting reports, and how to "read between-the-lines" of financial statements.
15.535 does not have a final exam, but you do get to apply your knowledge by completing a comprehensive analysis and valuation of a company of your choice. The company analysis is very similar to the reports completed by sell-side analysts on Wall Street. Two examples of company reports completed by students in previous years can be seen here:
